Responsibilities
- Assess a patient's current health status by gathering data.
- Assess the patient according to their physical or age-related needs.
- Observe, record, and report patient symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Administer and record prescribed medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform airway management, including endotracheal intubations and extubations, pulmonary hygiene, tracheostomy care, and emergency life support procedures.
- Provide extensive health education to patients and the general population through community services.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Current NY State RT License
