About the Role

HTS Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial buildings. This role is crucial for ensuring the individual success of all those involved in a project’s HVAC system lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Ensure systems comply with safety and efficiency standards.
• Assist with recruitment, interview, hire, and train new staff.
• Diagnose issues with HVAC and refrigeration systems through observation, testing, and setup procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble commercial HVACR equipment to perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment to service equipment and mechanical systems.
• Complete electronic documentation of service tasks, materials used, and labor hours.
• Explain service charges and work performed to customers' satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory stock on service vehicles.
• Reconcile work order documents, vendor packing slips, and weekly timesheets for supervisor review.

Requirements

• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications for proper installation and repair.
• Valid EPA Certification and required state registrations.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather both indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to perform tasks including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
