About the Role
The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Strategic Event Marketing & Sponsorships team provides global event management services for complex employee and client programs. As an Events Management Associate, you will lead and/or manage CIB event delivery, partnering with lines of business and stakeholders to plan and execute high-visibility senior management and client events. You will oversee supplier sourcing, logistics, registration, communications, reporting, and on-site delivery, while guiding meeting managers and planners.
Responsibilities
- Independently own end-to-end meeting planning activities, including logistics, timelines, and execution support.
- Produce event materials such as name badges, tent cards, and attendee-facing collateral.
- Prepare and pack travel/event office supplies and support on-site readiness.
- Support venue research and data compilation.
- Source, coordinate, and support contracting with external vendors.
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal teams to coordinate event requirements and deliverables.
- Own day-to-day attendee management by overseeing registration operations, communications, and responding to attendee inquiries.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within the registration system, including audits, reconciliations, and issue remediation.
- Develop, review, and update standard website text and attendee-facing content for event sites.
- Create, update, and maintain process/procedure guides and best practice documentation.
- Contribute to independent and team-based special projects, supporting continuous improvement and operational priorities.
Requirements
- 3+ years meeting planning industry knowledge.
- Customer service orientation with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
- High organization with strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, multi-task, and handle competing priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Understanding of basic virtual and hybrid event formats and coordination needs.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including mail merge documents.
- Ability to travel to events and serve as on-site planner support, up to 25%–40%.
