About the Role
The Executive Assistant will support the Office of Federal Affairs by keeping the Mayor and City agencies informed on federal issues, advocating for the city, and serving as a liaison between the City and other entities in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings on behalf of FLA staff
- Enter data into databases and Excel sheets
- Review and track legislation
- Facilitate interactions between elected officials' offices, federal agencies, and the Administration
- Respond to requests from members and staff promptly
- Assist FLA staff with meeting preparations
Requirements
- Four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent
- One year of satisfactory clerical experience
- Baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in community work, or high school graduation and six years of experience, or equivalent combination
