About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for reliably transporting medication and medical supplies in a safe and timely manner from the facility to medical clinics and clients across Ontario. This role involves daily delivery routes, picking up and dropping off items at scheduled times, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires reliability, responsibility, and professionalism, with the ability to handle emergency or rush orders on an ad hoc basis.
Responsibilities
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner.
- Utilizing Delivery App to follow routing and take pictures of each delivery.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with unpacking delivery boxes and putting away stock at client sites.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling client requests.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Driving a company vehicle.
- Assisting in preparing orders for delivery.
- Adhering to all relevant guidelines, including Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Attending and participating in staff meetings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Delivery Driver (Preferred).
- Valid driver's license (Class G) in Ontario.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a delivery van or truck is an asset.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to drive for extended periods and work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience delivering to and from medical clinics or pharmacies is a strong asset.
- Must be bondable and insurable.
- Must complete a criminal background check.
- Commitment to providing a high level of service.
- Highly adaptable with a track record of success during times of growth and organizational change.
- Proven track record of developing trust and influence at multiple levels.
- Demonstrates an impactful and candid communication style.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
