About the Role

The Network Growth Manager is a commercially focused individual contributor role within the Sedex account management and new business function. This role is the primary driver of supplier volume growth on the platform, bringing structured pipeline management, commercial rigor, and buyer partnership to support Sedex’s growth plan. NGMs operate in both existing buyer accounts and pre-sales engagements with new prospects, with a singular mandate: supplier growth.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential buyers and build a prioritized pipeline of supplier growth opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and data teams to create campaigns that drive buyer action for network growth.
  • Lead commercial discussions with buyers to establish supplier growth goals, milestones, and engagement plans.
  • Manage execution of supplier growth projects, enabling buyer self-service or coordinating through the Customer Success team.
  • Partner with Account Managers and Customer Success to share insights and align on buyer priorities, ensuring supplier growth activities are additive to the buyer relationship.
  • Assess supplier growth opportunities in prospect accounts during pre-sales engagements.
  • Establish supplier growth targets and 90-day plans from the outset of new buyer relationships.
  • Develop and manage supplier growth plans for new buyer logos, ensuring clear milestones and activation paths.
  • Provide feedback to sales and leadership on effective buyer profiles for supplier growth.
  • Maintain a live pipeline of supplier opportunities with accurate data, forecasts, and tracking.
  • Report on portfolio performance, including volume, pipeline conversion, and activation quality.
  • Utilize data to refine targeting and prioritization of the pipeline.
  • Identify and flag systemic blockers requiring cross-functional resolution.
  • Build strong working relationships with Account Managers to achieve shared supplier growth metrics.
  • Engage with the Customer Success team for activation support and smooth supplier handoffs.
  • Support the development of playbooks, onboarding materials, and engagement templates to enhance the NGM function.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial track record in a B2B growth, sales, or account management role with a history of delivering against hard volume or revenue targets.
  • Experience driving growth through existing customer or partner relationships.
  • Strong pipeline management skills using CRM or sales tools (Gainsight, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in B2B commercial communication, including leading structured conversations and framing opportunities.
  • Self-starter with high personal accountability, capable of operating independently and managing time effectively.
  • Experience in a platform, marketplace, or two-sided network business.
  • Background in supply chain, procurement, or sustainability sectors.
  • Experience in a pre-sales or business development role alongside account management.
  • Experience managing multi-region or international portfolios.
  • Commercial tenacity and a results-oriented approach.
  • Collaborative mindset, building trust and working effectively with account management teams.
  • Structured and process-oriented with a commitment to maintaining clean data and meeting commitments.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and contributing to the development of new processes and playbooks.
  • Clear and direct communication skills, able to simplify complex data for buyer conversations and report concisely.
