About the Role

The Senior Citywide Address Technician will support the Citywide Address Assignment Team (CAAT) by designing a new citywide address process, managing address requests for complex developments, and providing in-depth customer service to residents and developers.

Responsibilities

  • Execute address assignment functions for complex developments with high accuracy.
  • Provide customer service support to constituents, homeowners, developers, and agencies.
  • Research, analyze, validate, and maintain geographic data files using spatial data and imagery.
  • Perform quality assurance of data files in geospatial databases.
  • Initiate, document, and innovate work procedures and methodologies.
  • Execute geographic processing programs and coordinate data releases.
  • Assist in the scheduling of projects and priorities.
  • Conduct occasional field work and site visits for research.
  • Lead communications with customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison to other city agencies.
  • Ensure team adherence to standard procedures.
  • Train and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing data records and using geospatial data.
  • Demonstrated experience with Esri’s ArcGIS or other GIS software.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Baccalaureate degree and two years of relevant experience, or high school diploma and six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • At least one year of specialized experience in community work or related activities.

Skills

  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS or other GIS software.
  • SQL and Python (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to review architectural plans for large-scale developments.
  • Knowledge of NYC geography and data (preferred).

Salary/Compensations

  • $62,868 - $100,000
