About the Role

As an experienced Client Engineer, you will manage our modern client infrastructure. This role is responsible for administering the Windows client environment, endpoint management with Microsoft Intune, managing Entra-joined clients and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), coordinating external service providers including software packaging, and supporting our Microsoft Teams Rooms and meeting room technology.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize the BEW Windows client environment based on Windows 11 Enterprise.
• Manage endpoint management with Microsoft Intune and administration of Entra-joined clients and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Support and develop Microsoft Autopilot for automated deployment and lifecycle management of end devices.
• Process incidents, service requests, and changes within the scope of 2nd and 3rd level support, ensuring high service quality.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues (troubleshooting) in the areas of operating systems, applications, end devices, M365 clients, and workplace systems.
• Utilize ServiceNow for processing, prioritizing, and documenting tickets, and for supporting problem and change management.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers for software packaging, software distribution, and client operations.
• Manage software distribution and patch management for clients, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Support Microsoft Teams Rooms and other meeting room equipment, ensuring stable operation.
• Perform regular system, security, and functional updates.
• Support the introduction of new technologies and solutions for the advancement of digital workplaces.
• Analyze recurring issues, identify optimization potential, and derive sustainable improvement measures.
• Document operational processes, support solutions, standards, and architectures, and continuously develop them.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in client, endpoint, or infrastructure management.
• In-depth knowledge in the administration of Windows 11 Enterprise clients.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Management, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Autopilot and modern client rollout and lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge in the operation and administration of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management, as well as experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM solutions.
• Experience in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, client hardware, and workplace infrastructures.
• Knowledge in software distribution, packaging, and patch management.
• Experience in collaborating with external service providers and internal departments.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• High customer, service, and team orientation, as well as strong communication skills.
• Very good German and English skills (at least B2), German is the working language.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and media/conference technology is desirable.
• Knowledge in PowerShell automation and scripting is desirable.
• Experience in the environment of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of IT security, Conditional Access, and compliance requirements is desirable.
• Experience in regulated corporate environments or critical infrastructures (KRITIS) is desirable.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or comparable qualifications are advantageous.
