About the Role

This role focuses on providing expert advice and consultancy within the Defined Contribution (DC) pensions sector, with a specific emphasis on investment strategies and governance. The consultant will manage client relationships, lead investment manager selections, and contribute to the growth of the DC division.

Responsibilities

  • Building and leading relations with clients to identify and meet their needs.
  • Getting involved with new pitches for DC Consultancy work.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market practice, legislation, and DC governance requirements.
  • Running and interpreting DC Investment strategy modelling to identify suitable investment strategies.
  • Identifying suitable investment structures to implement strategies.
  • Conducting investment manager selection and DC providers’ exercises.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and supporting them with ongoing governance.
  • Drafting advice to a standard that you are happy to sign off.
  • Working within a team environment, providing leadership and guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • FIA, FFA or CFA qualified with some years of post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of working within the UK DC pension scheme advisory sector in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in investment and good technical pension scheme investment knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
