About the Role
Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is seeking a Commissionaire to join their growing team. This role is crucial for ensuring client and employee loyalty and enhancing the organization's success through dedicated service.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured, escorting visitors as required.
- Maintaining positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients.
- Staying back over the regular hours till the last client exits the premises.
- Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with individuals and groups to ensure smooth operations.
- Good Radio communication.
- Responding to alarms and utilization of alarm panels.
- Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary.
- Performing crowd control using de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to stand outdoors if required.
- Making sure the Reception desk is always monitored.
- Performing other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor.
Requirements
- Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Must be able to obtain a Level II (Secret) Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history).
- Ability to stand/sit for a longer period of time.
- Good communication and crowd controlling skills needed.
- Strong customer service/administrative skills.
- Highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, ability to multitask.
- Professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.
