About the Role

A 67-year-old male in the Syracuse area seeks a dedicated DSP to assist him in community engagement and participation in enjoyable activities. He is sociable, values cleanliness, and enjoys outings such as visiting the mall, zoo, dining, and pet stores. He is communicative and expressive when happy. The ideal candidate is a hard worker, talkative, and eager to explore various activities and locations.

Responsibilities

• Support the individual in accessing his community.
• Facilitate participation in various activities.
• Assist with activities such as going to the mall, zoo, having breakfast, and visiting pet stores.
• Adapt to flexible hours and days of work, including Monday and Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm.
• Potentially work additional hours with other individuals receiving services.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at scheduled times.
• Proof of auto insurance is required.
• Acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
• Must abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
