Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise business office functions at the community.
- Serve as the community’s primary resource for handling questions from residents, families, and employees regarding financial matters, payroll, and benefits.
- Coordinate and maintain accurate employee payroll and benefits data, explaining benefit options to employees.
- Maintain and oversee processes for resident data collection, including statement accuracy, resident agings, level of care to billing accuracy, and demographic information.
- Manage and supervise front desk/clerical personnel, including scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and discipline.
- Assist the Executive Director with community operations by reviewing and advising on billing, expenditures, and budgetary matters.
- Manage and direct all accounts receivable, including pursuit of unpaid balances.
- Ensure correct coding of accounts payable and accrue expenses as needed.
- Direct collection of on-site employee data related to demographics, payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
- Ensure employee files are maintained in accordance with company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with the month-end close process, including accrual preparation and analysis of general ledger/monthly operating statements.
- Complete special projects, requests, and assignments.
- Serve as the community’s manager-on-duty on a regular basis.
- Assist in the sales process by conducting inquiry tours.
- Drive company vehicle from community to social and other destinations (if required).
- Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field and two (2) years of experience with business office functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years in business office management, finance or accounting preferred.
- Working knowledge of general accounting, billing and collections and expense management practices.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Able to clearly present information through the spoken word and accurately communicate, providing the necessary level of detail even under stressful or demanding conditions.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and team orientation in verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Past history of solid performance management skills, including the ability to communicate performance expectations, document performance conversations, coach and document performance issues and complete performance management expectations.
- Able to perform budget analysis and variance reporting.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and ability to operate standard office equipment.

- $62,000.00/yr - $71,300.00/yr
