About the Role
As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment which promotes personal and professional growth. We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our Solar District that is available for 4 months starting September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Involvement and exposure to various areas of Human Resources including recruitment, training and professional development and health & wellness
- Assisting with planning and executing career fairs
- Assisting with training coordination and facilitates course set-up
- Supporting the team by preparing for daily events and follow-up actions (e.g. scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining action lists and reminders, and meeting/interview preparation)
- Supporting activities requiring a high degree of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Composing and preparing confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources major
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with various computer programs such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to proactively anticipate needs and follow-up items for the team
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality required of work assignments
- Independent and resourceful in accomplishing day-to-day tasks and assignments
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high-degree of accuracy and professionalism
