About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to be the next long-term, well-paid nanny for a kind, caring, and generous family relocating back to London. They are seeking a German-speaking nanny to join them from September 2026 for long-term employment. The role involves caring for four children, primarily focusing on 2-year-old twins, while also managing school pick-ups and after-school care for older siblings.
Responsibilities
- Full nursery duties for the twins during the day
- School pick-ups and after-school care for older children
- Supporting homework
- Preparing healthy meals
- Organizing school bags and children’s belongings
- Helping to maintain a calm and structured routine
- General tidying related to the children
Requirements
- Native level German speaker with fluent English
- At least five years of professional experience
- Confident managing a busy household with children of mixed ages
- Kindness, good manners, and consistency valued
- Warm, reliable, and collaborative demeanor
- Strong ability to create a nurturing, safe, happy environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Punctual, reliable, and legally able to work in the UK
- Current valid Enhanced DBS - on the DBS update service
- Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Right to work in UK & already living within a 45 min commute
- Good references for recent and relevant nanny work
- Demonstrate longevity in previous similar nanny roles (2 to 5 years in nanny jobs)
- Able to run after small children
- Used to shared and sole charge
- Similar experience
- Able to engage in play at floor level for extended periods of time and get up from the floor quickly
- Strictly non-smoking position
- Discretion and privacy is essential
