About the Role

The Lead Business Architect is responsible for understanding the company’s business strategy, operating vision, business imperatives, and capabilities, and how they affect technology imperatives. This role serves as the point of escalation for architecture-related activities and customer interactions, working across multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the company’s business strategy, operating vision, business imperatives, and capabilities, and their impact on technology imperatives.
  • Understand the key challenges faced by sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Define and map business capabilities, assess maturity, and identify gaps.
  • Assist in designing target operating models (TOM).
  • Analyze and standardize end-to-end business processes.
  • Improve operational efficiency by removing redundancies and bottlenecks.
  • Support automation initiatives.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on business architecture for project teams and customers.
  • Serve as the escalation point for architecture-related activities and customer concerns.
  • Collaborate with other architects to identify opportunities for client business value and define necessary business solutions and structures.
  • Define how proposed solutions fit into the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Assist in defining performance goals, metrics, and key milestones for proposed solutions.
  • Review prototypes, enterprise blueprints, and initiative scopes to ensure alignment with business imperatives.
  • Contribute intellectual property back to the practice.
  • Work across multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in computer science.
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, preferably in implementing software applications.
  • At least 12 years of experience implementing P&C insurance software applications.
  • At least 12 years of experience with .Net Solutions, SQL, and relational database design.
  • Experience with systems integration (Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, Third-Party systems).
  • Experience/knowledge of P&C Insurance software applications.
  • Experience/knowledge of the software development lifecycle for P&C insurance.
  • Experience implementing Duck Creek solutions required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
  • Candidates are expected to complete all interviews based on their own knowledge and experience; AI tools are not permitted during interviews.
