About the Role

The part-time barista for the Sky Lounge will be responsible for supporting daily operations of the café and providing high-quality beverages, food service, and a welcoming experience for building tenants and their guests. This role requires a high level of independence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage the lounge during scheduled shifts. Joining a small team of bartenders and amenity attendants, they will represent the face of the café program and have opportunities for creativity and tenant connection.

Responsibilities

• Preparing a full range of specialty coffee and tea beverages with consistency and quality
• Assembling and serving pre-packaged food items
• Following all food safety and handling procedures
• Providing friendly, efficient service to building tenants and their guests
• Maintaining a professional, approachable demeanor
• Addressing questions, requests, and concerns
• Restocking inventory throughout the day
• Monitoring inventory levels and communicating discrepancies
• Receiving, organizing, and logging deliveries of food and products
• Updating inventory values on Square POS
• Navigating Square POS
• Opening the café independently, following established procedures
• Managing point-of-sale transactions accurately
• Maintaining smooth café operations
• Maintaining clear communication with manager and team regarding daily operations
• Maintaining a clean and orderly working environment in compliance with healthy and safety standards
• Performing routine cleaning tasks throughout shift
• Organizing lounge furniture and ensuring a presentable atmosphere

Requirements

• 2 or more years of experience as a barista
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift boxes, light furniture, and kegs
• Up to date Food Handler’s License
• TABC preferred but not required
• Availability for Monday and Wednesday mornings from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
