About the Role

International Wire Group is hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to join their manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting equipment, solving mechanical problems, and ensuring efficient production by repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and supporting maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and determine corrective action.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment.
  • Overhaul gearboxes and replace mechanical components like bearings and bushings.
  • Complete electrical repairs and troubleshooting within training and experience level.
  • Support the development and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Complete assigned maintenance work accurately, safely, and within timelines.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns with a focus on minimizing downtime and restoring production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
  • Determine the correct method and sequence for assembling, repairing, or installing machinery.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and activities.
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Communicate equipment status, completed work, and outstanding issues to supervisors and coworkers.
  • Partner with Production and other departments to identify equipment concerns and support operational needs.
  • Apply troubleshooting methods and root-cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment problems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout practices, and PPE guidelines.
  • Provide support to coworkers and contribute to a positive, team-oriented maintenance environment.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.
  • Experience completing electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Candidates should be available for periodic emergency callouts during off-shift hours, including some weekends and holidays.

Salary/Compensations

  • $29.50–$34.00 per hour
