About the Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will support financial operations by ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely customer collections, and organized accounting records. This role focuses on Accounts Receivable and collections while providing support for Accounts Payable, partnering with Production, Sales, and Finance teams to maintain healthy cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts to ensure accurate and timely collections.
• Coordinate with Production and Sales teams to track completed work and prompt payments.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate records.
• Manage payment activity within financing and lender portals.
• Batch, export, and reconcile invoices.
• Maintain documentation of customer communications and account activity.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Receive, organize, and process incoming vendor invoices.
• Scan and route invoices for processing.
• Assist with invoice coding and payment preparation.
• Maintain organized vendor documentation and accounting records.
• Support month-end accounting activities.
• Serve as a resource for Sales and Production teams regarding financing and collections.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Improve accounting processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounting, or Bookkeeping.
• Experience with customer collections and payment processing.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple systems and learn new technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills with consistent follow-up abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset.
