About the Role
As Ebury scales globally, we are evolving from a delivery-led organisation into a platform-led product company. This role owns the vision, strategy, and execution for Ebury's core client-facing foreign exchange capabilities, aiming to build industry-leading, high-availability, and cost-effective FX solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term product strategy and translate 0-6 month strategic goals into clear, functional roadmaps.
- Communicate the roadmap and drive a unified vision for the FX subdomain.
- Provide clear direction to the engineering team, anticipating technical obstacles, and ensuring smooth execution.
- Ensure products are launched consistently and on time, while actively increasing the speed and quality of delivery.
- Own the operational and regulatory risks for the FX product, working proactively to mitigate them.
- Identify cross-domain dependencies and collaborate with peers across Payments, Lending, and other areas.
- Understand the global FX market, competitive landscape, and regulatory constraints.
- Validate problems through research and user feedback before investing in solutions.
- Execute data-driven prioritization by leveraging strong analytical skills and internal data.
- Balance short-term client needs and commercial growth objectives against long-term product vision.
- Monitor product performance, focusing on key indicators such as FX margins, client transaction conversion rates, market share, and operational efficiency.
- Propose new opportunities for growth and efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
- Influence decision-making among product squads by providing essential business context.
- Act as a subject matter expert and mentor Junior Product Managers.
- Foster a culture of ownership and domain excellence.
- Share learnings and best practices with the broader team.
- Objectively assess a PM's skillset in interviews, providing high-quality feedback.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, with at least 2+ years focused specifically on Foreign Exchange (FX)
- Practical knowledge of FX market structure, including spot, forwards, options and regulatory compliance.
- User-centric approach.
- Experience in building and scaling API-first products for developers or enterprise consumption.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex technical, financial, and regulatory information into clear, executable product plans and user stories.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a global or multi-regional FinTech environment is highly desirable.
