About the Role

Develop a modern data platform that enables analytics, reporting, and data-driven decisions across the company. Contribute to building a scalable data architecture and actively shape the path to a data-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate modern data platforms in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Ensure high-quality, complete, and reproducible data for analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.
  • Implement efficient incremental data loading processes.
  • Develop and maintain efficient ETL/ELT processes and API-based data integrations.
  • Develop robust monitoring, logging, and error handling concepts.
  • Continuously optimize performance, costs, and data workflows.
  • Contribute to building a scalable data architecture including test, staging, and production environments.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Data & Analytics and Data Analysts.
  • Provide high-quality data for Power BI dashboards and machine learning models.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in building and operating data pipelines or data platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Services, especially Data Factory and/or Azure Synapse.
  • Very good knowledge of SQL and Python, especially in ETL/ELT processes and automation.
  • Experience in data modeling, ideally with Bronze, Silver, and Gold layer architectures.
  • Knowledge in data quality management, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in independently implementing technical projects.
  • Structured, solution-oriented way of working.
  • Strong team orientation and enjoyment of collaboration in an international environment.
  • Fluent German or English language skills. If German skills are lower (from B1), very good English skills are required.
