About the Role
The Sizewell C Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.
Responsibilities
- Support estimates in accordance with SZC policies and procedures.
- Support the Geotechnical Estimating Team with estimate development.
- Review SZC's drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour, and equipment.
- Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities, including supporting risk evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
- Liaise with project team members and supply chain to develop and understand proposed methodologies and principles.
- Support the development of labour, plant, material, and subcontract pricing from first principles within the Contractor's Estimating Software Candy.
- Produce quantity take-offs and scheduling from enquiry documents.
- Compile elementary bills for pricing.
- Prepare supplier and sub-contractor enquiries for sourcing quotations.
- Compile graphics and text for tender proposals.
- Liaise with the plant division to source bespoke items.
- Work within various electronic portals to submit and retrieve information.
- Support package handovers to operations.
Requirements
- Proficient in the use of Excel and similar software.
- Good knowledge and understanding of written English and mathematics.
- Evidence of the right to work in the UK.
