About the Role
This one-year fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity for an MSc graduate to gain hands-on experience in health economics and health technology assessments within a global pharmaceutical company. The role involves supporting the Health Technology Assessment and Outcomes Research (HTA&OR) Group in managing submissions to UK Health Technology Assessment Agencies and the JCVI.
Responsibilities
- Support the HTA&OR and EBM Managers in developing submission strategies for assigned products.
- Assist in writing the economic components of selected HTA submissions.
- Contribute to the development of economic and budget impact models for HTA submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize HTA submissions and manage stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues related to prospective HTA submissions.
- Aid in developing local market access strategies and tools.
- Design and deliver cross-functional research projects related to HTA.
- Identify and maintain data sources for the HTA& OR team.
Requirements
- Must have completed, or expect to complete, an MSc or PhD in Health Economics or an allied degree by October 2026.
- Experience and interest in developing and adapting cost-effectiveness models.
- Experience and interest in conducting systematic literature reviews.
- Experience and interest in medical statistics/evidence synthesis.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to understand highly technical concepts quickly.
- Experience in solving complex problems.
- Project management skills, including leadership of cross-functional projects to deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills and initiative to drive projects forward.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK HTA landscape and processes.
- Commitment to patient well-being and acting with integrity.
