About the Role

Join Veolia as a Class 2 HGV Driver/Sweeper, playing a pivotal role in delivering essential services and making a positive impact on local communities. This role is crucial for managing waste removal and contributing to environmental care.

Responsibilities

  • Drive HGV vehicles such as 18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage, or 12t Scarab based on business needs.
  • Undertake waste removal, bulky items, and Sweeper's sacks from domestic, commercial premises, and highways.
  • Ensure immediate clearance of any waste spillage to leave the site litter-free.
  • Comply with site rules and Health & Safety procedures when entering premises.
  • Adhere to all road traffic legislation, including parking restrictions, security, and load weights.
  • Ensure the tipper is left empty and the cab is clean at the end of the shift.
  • Report locations of fly-tipping, graffiti, fly posting, and damaged/missing litter bins or waste containers.
  • Maintain courteous and professional relationships with the public, client staff, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Previous Class 2 experience.
  • Waste experience (desirable).
  • Previous sweeper experience (desirable).
