About the Role
This organization opened in 2019 and is a busy, multi-site outpatient infusion clinic, specializing in using ketamine to treat depression. Their providers follow guidelines from the American Psychiatric Association and have established a patient-centered approach to ensure safe and comfortable experiences for all patients. They are a complement to, not a replacement for, existing mental healthcare services. They view ketamine as one pillar in a larger care plan, and rely on continuous dialogue with each patient and their referring provider partners to define how ketamine plays a role in overall wellness. They currently boast a staff of 5 physicians and 6 infusion nurses, operating out of 5 convenient locations in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Perform infusion appointments / infusion management
- In-office administration of ketamine
- IV placement, when needed
- Clinical monitoring of patients
- Patient education
- Treatment plan management
- Care coordination
- Work with external referral partners
- Oversight of infusion nurse(s)
Requirements
- New York medical license
- Comfort with cardio-respiratory monitoring, IV placement, and infusion management
- Board certification or eligibility preferred, not required
