About the Role

The Data Analyst will deliver insights to improve the commercial ecosystem, focusing on customer experience, retailer investment effectiveness, marketing and sales performance, and the post-purchase, onboarding, and promotional landscape. A key responsibility is designing, building, and managing a marketing and sales performance dashboard using Google BigQuery and Looker Studio to aid decision-making for marketing, e-commerce, retail, and CX teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain a marketing and sales performance dashboard in Looker Studio, underpinned by BigQuery.
  • Combine sell-out sales data, market volume and share data, and campaign activity logs.
  • Define the underlying data model, transform source files, and design the reporting layer for consistent KPI delivery.
  • Identify and quantify the impact of retailer investment, including sales uplift and market share during campaigns.
  • Analyze correlations between campaign activity and commercial performance to determine effective marketing levers.
  • Measure and report on halo effects across products and retailers from promotional and campaign activity.
  • Define and calculate key performance metrics including uplift, baseline, market share, activity intensity, and halo effects.
  • Utilize GFK or other syndicated market data sources to enrich performance analysis.
  • Analyze customer journeys, including user behavior, content performance, and conversion pathways.
  • Benchmark customer journeys against competitor websites to identify opportunities.
  • Provide insights into paid promotions, post-purchase experience, and customer satisfaction trends.
  • Support planning, optimization, and operational management of post-purchase and onboarding experiences.
  • Analyze content utilization, engagement, and drop-off points, recommending enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HQ and local teams on onboarding content production and implementation.
  • Support feature management, including evaluation, performance testing, and monitoring adoption.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses across various business functions.
  • Translate data into clear insights to guide decision-making within marketing, CX, digital, and commercial teams.
  • Present findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Use platforms like GWI to build digital personas and audience profiles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a data or insight analyst within digital, e-commerce, retail, marketing, or agency environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Google BigQuery and advanced SQL, including data modeling and reporting layer design.
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, with a clear understanding of data model structuring for scalable performance.
  • Demonstrable experience combining sell-out sales, market share, and campaign activity datasets to generate commercial insight.
  • Ability to define and calculate metrics including uplift, baseline, market share, activity intensity, and halo effects.
  • Strong marketing analytics capability, including campaign effectiveness measurement across paid and promotional channels.
  • Good understanding of digital customer journeys, content performance metrics, and e-commerce KPIs.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics GA4, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling ability to translate complex business questions into dashboard logic and present findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with multi-market teams and managing stakeholder expectations across business functions.
  • A passion for data-driven decision-making and an interest in how AI can enhance analytics workflows.
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas) for data transformation, automation, and workflow scripting (Preferred).
  • Broader experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including automating data ingestion and transformation workflows (Preferred).
  • Experience working in retail, e-commerce, or retailer media environments (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with GfK or other syndicated market data sources (Preferred).
  • Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI (Preferred).
