About the Role

This is the founding platform engineering leadership role, responsible for owning the paved road, including scaffolding, tooling, isolation models, and release machinery. The goal is to enable engineers to ship compliant agent workflows efficiently and empower customers to do the same independently.

Responsibilities

• Own the golden path: scaffolding, templates, and defaults for new solutions.
• Manage the shared tool catalog, making tools versioned and referenced objects.
• Implement versioning and promotion lanes for agent and playbook deployment.
• Develop the compliance harness for auditable and governed agent runs.
• Establish testing infrastructure, including skill and tool testing suites.
• Ensure proper multi-tenancy with strong logical isolation across planes.
• Enhance the customer-facing developer experience with SDK, API gateway, and debugging tools.
• Create a repeatable vendoring cycle for shipping sanitized codebases.
• Establish engineering standards through written specs and clear approval rights.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating a multi-tenant platform for external developers.
• Experience shipping in a regulated environment, understanding SOC 2, audit trails, access control, and model risk.
• Experience converting services delivery into product.
• Experience leading engineers directly, including those earlier in their careers.
• Ability to set standards by documenting rather than constant direct involvement.
• Strong opinions on developer experience, backed by past experiences.
• Experience with internal developer platforms, paved roads, or platform-as-a-service ownership at an enterprise-selling company.
• Experience declining customer requests to protect platform abstractions.
• Experience introducing written decision-making processes to teams.
