Responsibilities

  • Document patient status, care rendered, response to care, provider orders, and communications.
  • Refill medications following established protocols.
  • Room patients, record vital signs, and prepare patients for provider exams.
  • Follow clinic protocols and supervisor directions.
  • Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.
  • Review provider refill in-baskets and assist with daily medication requests.
  • Review EPIC triage call in-baskets for callbacks.
  • Clean patient rooms and manage laundry.
  • Assist providers with specialized exams and cardiac stress testing.
  • Maintain and sterilize medical equipment.
  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and company compliance policies.
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
  • Work holiday shifts as required.
  • LVN: Administer medications and injections.
  • LVN: Provide direct nursing care and treatments under physician orders.
  • LVN: Educate and counsel patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • LVN: Manage vaccines, including ordering, monitoring, and documentation.
  • LVN: Facilitate immunization program implementation and monitoring.
  • LVN: Inform patients of lab results.
  • LVN: Perform patient follow-up activities including diagnostics, referrals, and appointments.
  • LVN: Participate in new employee orientation.
  • Medical Assistant: Provide educational materials to patients.
  • Medical Assistant: Administer medication within scope of practice.
  • Medical Assistant: Review result notes and inform patients of normal lab results.
  • Medical Assistant: Review provider instructions regarding abnormal results.

Requirements

  • LVN: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • LVN: Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
  • LVN: Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
  • LVN: Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • Medical Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant: Medical Assistant experience, or CNA/EMT/PCT experience providing direct patient care, or graduation from a medical assistant program.
  • Medical Assistant: Current AHA approved Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

Work Type

  • Full-time
  • 32 hours/week
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Experience Level

  • LVN: Previous experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred.
  • Medical Assistant: Six months or more experience preferred.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • LVN: Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing
