About the Role
Supervise employees and perform all aspects necessary for the manufacturing processes used in the manufacturing of Turbine Engine components.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the training of all employees assigned to the shift.
- Ensures production priorities are met.
- Ensures all quality requirements are established and met.
- Ensures all equipment is maintained and operational.
- Ensures all necessary supplies are available to employees.
- Responsible for personnel activities during the shift.
- Ensures Productivity Records are maintained and reported in a timely manner.
- Ensures employee attendance is maintained at a satisfactory level.
- Responsible for employee discipline and attendance.
- Maintains a business-like, productive, and disciplined work environment.
Requirements
- Proficient in geometric tolerancing.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to work well with people.
- Possess skills in problem solving, situation assessment, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to oversee several simultaneous projects with proper delegating skills and precise involvement without interference.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before employees in the organization.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants, and cleaning solutions.
- Occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
