About the Role
The new Professional Briefing aims to professionalize the non-profit sector and foster a deeper understanding. Target audiences include professionals in the non-profit sector and political/administrative decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Independent research and journalistic preparation of topics related to the common good, society, education, social innovations, and sustainable development.
- Editorial support in the conception, creation, and further development of the Gemeinwohl.Table.
- Conducting interviews with representatives from politics, associations, foundations, social economy, science, and civil society.
- Building and maintaining a robust network with relevant actors from politics, administration, non-profit organizations, and societal institutions.
- Monitoring and contextualizing political, societal, and regulatory developments relevant to the common good sector.
- Conception, execution, and evaluation of surveys and other research and participation formats.
- Identification of relevant trends, debates, and best practices from the non-profit and societal environment.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in journalism, editorial work, or public affairs, ideally with a focus on society, education, social economy, politics, or common good topics.
- Strong interest in societal developments and a keen sense for relevant debates, trends, and political decision-making processes.
- Very good understanding of the structures and actors in the common good sector, from associations, foundations, and NGOs to politics, administration, and science.
- Strong research skills and the ability to concisely, understandably, and target-group-oriented prepare complex societal and political contexts.
- Experience in conducting and evaluating interviews with experts, political decision-makers, and societal actors.
- Enjoyment of networking and building robust contacts with relevant stakeholders from politics, administration, civil society, and the non-profit sector.
- Confident use of digital editorial and publishing tools, as well as openness to using AI-supported tools in research and content creation.
