About the Role
SANY’s Utica Academy of Science Charter School is seeking a Behavior Specialist for Junior-Senior High School (Grades 6-12) to join their team. The school offers a supportive environment for new staff.
Responsibilities
- Consistently implement the student code of conduct.
- Train and educate all stakeholders on the implementation of the student code of conduct.
- Be visible and accessible to students and staff.
- Analyze data to identify behavior trends, make adjustments, and implement an action plan.
- Identify students with behavioral issues and establish corrective plans.
- Develop positive relationships with students and parents to foster a respectful and professional school environment.
- Collaborate with school counselors and teachers to develop and implement the RTI process.
- Support and work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Experience with a diverse population of students or in an urban setting is a plus.
- Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education.
