About the Role
As the Corporate Receptionist, you will be the warm, welcoming, and engaged point of contact for occupiers, visitors, and clients at a business address in the City, near Blackfriars. You will proactively promote the site, manage the reception area, and collaborate with the security team, building management, and team leader.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership and accountability of the reception and associated areas, ensuring they are kept in the best possible order.
- Liaise with cleaners, facilities, security, and other departments as necessary.
- Ensure the St James folder, manual, occupiers procedures, and phone database are up to date.
- Deliver monthly reports and appropriate FOH data as required.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all guests, visitors, occupiers, and clients, addressing questions and queries.
- Meet and greet all guests and visitors, providing exceptional service and standing to greet as a basic standard.
- Receive and answer calls promptly and efficiently, identifying caller requirements and transferring calls appropriately.
- Manage difficult or distressed callers calmly and professionally.
- Report accidents or incidents where appropriate.
- Create and lead the events calendar, pop-ups, and freebie Fridays for the building.
- Ensure the reception area is kept organized, clean, and tidy at all times.
- Stand to greet all visitors to the building.
- Adhere to St James policies and procedures, code of conduct, and be conversant with emergency procedures.
- Perform any other duties necessary to support the client, customer, colleagues, and St James.
- Support with the execution of events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel is essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, flexibility to work with a range of styles and personalities, and adaptability to business demands.
- Excellent punctuality, an outgoing nature, and a can-do/proactive attitude.
- Willingness to be trained to obtain Fire Warden, First Aid, and IOSH certifications.
