About the Role
This role focuses on executing receiving and merchandising standards while leading a team to ensure efficient store operations and an excellent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience
- Promote a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize merchandise processing
- Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods
- Ensure Associates complete tasks according to store plans
- Monitor team productivity and provide coaching
- Organize and rotate back stock for replenishment
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards
- Uphold cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom
- Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
- Communicate priorities and progress updates to management and Associates
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
- Partner with management on Associate training needs
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
- Promote credit and loyalty programs
- Support store shrink reduction goals
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
