About the Role

This role supports Banking, Markets, and Wealth origination activities for Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients, single and multi-family offices. The Assistant Vice President will partner with various teams to support origination, structuring, and execution of solutions, applying disciplinary knowledge across private banking, wealth management, investment banking, and markets.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Private Bankers, Wealth Advisors, IBD coverage bankers, Markets and all product partners to deliver a differentiated origination and client experience.
  • Support end-to-end origination activities including prospecting, pipeline development, pitch preparation, financial and wealth analysis, proposal development, and transaction execution.
  • Conduct business development initiatives for Citi Private Bank and the IBD–Citi Private Bank partnership, identifying wealth-creation events and converting them into actionable client opportunities.
  • Prepare and coordinate prospect presentations, relationship reviews, and product pitches, tailoring solutions to client-specific needs.
  • Provide support to Private Bankers and senior coverage officers for new business pitches, RFPs, and strategic client dialogues.
  • Develop internal and external networks to cultivate business introductions and referral flow.
  • Support the coverage of Single Family Offices (SFOs), Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), and Family Office principals.
  • Assist in delivering the full Citi platform to Family Office clients.
  • Prepare bespoke Family Office materials including institutional-quality pitchbooks, portfolio reviews, market updates, thematic research summaries, and peer benchmarking analyses.
  • Coordinate Family Office events, roundtables, and educational forums.
  • Track and analyze Family Office industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments.
  • Take responsibility for events management, including Family Office and UHNW client events, thought-leadership forums, and product launches.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on budgets and invoices pertaining to the events program.
  • Support marketing communication materials and monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and client outreach initiatives.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in business processes, policies, and the regulatory environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes and origination workflows.
  • Maintain a continuous learning program through internal courses and relevant external certifications.
  • Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
  • Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

  • A good track record of relevant experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Family Office advisory, or a closely related client-facing financial services role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of banking, markets and wealth products, platforms, tools, and capabilities — including credit and lending, investments, capital markets, trust and estate solutions, and alternatives.
  • Familiarity with Family Office structures, governance models, and multi-generational wealth planning is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to investment banking origination and the ability to identify and articulate wealth-creation events and cross-franchise opportunities between IBD and Private Bank.
  • Proactive, driven, commercially minded self-starter with strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Project management skills: highly organized and efficient; ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and adhere to time-sensitive daily deadlines is critical.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM tools.
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, PitchBook) is preferred.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the highest standards of integrity when handling sensitive client and family information.
  • Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
  • Assessment for this role will be carried out against the Fit and Proper requirements, including honesty, integrity, reputation, financial soundness, competence, and capability.
