About the Role

Burro is seeking a Director of Marketing to evaluate an early-stage function and turn it into a repeatable, scalable engine. This role reports to our Chief Revenue Officer and will be a key hire for the go-to-market team, requiring a blend of high-level strategy and hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current marketing efforts and build a strategy and roadmap to scale qualified pipeline, including systems, team, and execution.
  • Sharpen and evolve brand positioning and messaging for a technical, multi-persona audience.
  • Own demand generation, expanding and professionalizing campaigns across digital, field/trade shows, content, and partnerships.
  • Partner with Sales to align marketing programs with revenue targets and pipeline goals.
  • Mature the marketing tech stack, reporting, and attribution models.
  • Manage external agencies, freelancers, and an in-house team.
  • Represent the Burro brand at industry events and translate customer insights into marketing narrative.
  • Balance long-range strategy with tactical, hands-on execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in marketing, with direct experience scaling a marketing function at an early-stage or high-growth company.
  • Proven ability to be both strategic and tactical, setting roadmaps and executing campaigns.
  • Experience building demand generation and brand programs in a technical, B2B, or industrial/agricultural context.
  • Comfortable operating with limited resources and ambiguity, with a bias toward shipping and iterating.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to spend time in the field with growers and operations teams.
  • Genuine excitement about agriculture, robotics, and Burro's mission.
  • Experience with tools like HubSpot.
