About the Role
SDN Kensington is seeking an Educator (Certificate III) qualified to join their Nursery Room (0–2 years) on a permanent full-time basis. This role involves building nurturing relationships with children and families, providing responsive care, supporting learning through play-based experiences, and assisting with observations and programming.
Responsibilities
- Building nurturing, responsive relationships with children and families
- Providing responsive care, including meals, sleep, toileting and daily routines
- Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through play-based experiences
- Assisting with observations, documentation and educational programming in line with the EYLF
- Creating positive, safe, inclusive and engaging, stimulating age-appropriate learning environments
- Demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach within the room
- Working collaboratively with your team to uphold the National Quality Standards and SDN's Child Safe practices
Requirements
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with relevant industry experience in early childhood education and care is desirable
- Minimum 6-12 month’s work experience in an early childhood setting (Nursery experience desired)
- Child protection training and commitment to child safety GECCKO
- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check, current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis and Food safety certificate
- Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills
- A genuine commitment to child safety and inclusion
