About the Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities team in maintaining the building, facilities, and equipment to a high standard. You will play a hands-on role in ensuring the club remains safe, functional, and well-presented for members, guests, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks including painting, basic plumbing, light bulb changes, and furniture assembly
- Support planned preventative maintenance and reactive work orders
- Assist with inspections of equipment, fixtures, and building systems
- Help with room and facility setups for meetings, events, or club functions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, workspaces, and plant rooms
- Monitor stock of essential maintenance supplies and report shortages
- Respond promptly and professionally to urgent repair requests or facility concerns
- Collaborate with housekeeping and operations teams to ensure a well-maintained environment
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and safe working practices
Requirements
- Up to 2 years of experience in a busy, high-profile venue
- Basic experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a similar support role
- Comfortable using tools and performing physical tasks
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to support different departments as needed
- Basic qualifications in building services, maintenance, or manual trades (desirable)
- Experience in a hotel, club, or hospitality environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with maintenance logs, task tracking, or work order systems (desirable)
