About the Role

As Head of IT at DNS:NET, you will be a visionary developing IT strategies, actively involved in IT security, infrastructure management, and future-oriented IT solutions. You will lead a dedicated team with a hands-on approach, inspiring by example and ensuring innovative ideas are successfully implemented.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the IT department, providing disciplinary and technical guidance.
• Perform resource and capacity planning to ensure optimal team workload.
• Develop and implement modern IT strategies and concepts.
• Plan, lead, and manage IT projects, collaborating with external service providers.
• Introduce and optimize IT policies, workflows, and processes.
• Support the selection and implementation of new IT systems and solutions.
• Take responsibility for office IT, MS365, helpdesk, and IT infrastructure (on-premise, AWS cloud).
• Implement IT security standards according to ISO 27001.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and practical experience.
• Several years of experience in a leading IT position, ideally with a focus on IT strategy and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on mentality with a willingness to actively participate and understanding of strategic and operational aspects.
• Sound knowledge of network architectures, IT security, cloud technologies, and IT system consolidation and transformation.
• Familiarity with legal requirements and best practices, especially in the KRITIS (Critical Infrastructure) environment.
• Experience in planning, implementing, and managing complex IT projects.
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, decisiveness, and team orientation.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
