About the Role
This role involves independently operating, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing, and managing AV systems and peripherals. Key responsibilities include daily system checks, pre-meeting AV support for high-profile events and VIPs, and assisting with AV support scheduling. The position requires troubleshooting and replacing AV components, understanding audio-visual signal flow, and coordinating with external vendors. The role also involves managing client expectations and technology support, with a strong emphasis on communication and meeting performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Independently operate, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair, and manage AV systems and peripherals.
- Perform daily morning checks of all conference rooms to proactively identify issues and ensure they are in working order.
- Provide pre-meeting AV checks for high-profile events and VIP/executive video meetings.
- Assist with scheduling AV support for high-profile events and VIP/executive meetings.
- Troubleshoot, upgrade, and/or replace AV components.
- Understand audio-visual signal flow troubleshooting.
- Coordinate external vendor support when required.
- Meet key support performance metrics and SLAs.
- Familiarity with Service Now ticketing.
- Consult, manage, and possibly lead client pitch expectations and technology support.
- Perform live event production and support.
- Maintain AV inventory consistently and accurately.
- Communicate any high-profile event issues in real-time.
Requirements
- Requires corporate AV experience.
- Exemplary communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work well individually or in a team setting.
- Outstanding customer service and ability to build working relationships with business stakeholders.
- Strong technical skills for fixing and handling issues internally.
- Engage with vendors to schedule repairs when necessary.
- Willingness to work after hours and offsite for agency events.
- Proactively identify potential issues and opportunities for IT improvements.
- Investigate new technology and bring it to the attention of AV team leaders.
- Ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Physically able to talk on the phone and input data simultaneously.
- Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
