About the Role

Seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the end-to-end bid process for a complex, high-value UK government program. This role involves managing a large international team and ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals aligned with company and project strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and map them to solution offerings.
  • Support the pre-acquisition phase with budget determination information.
  • Prepare the proposal phase by shaping the opportunity.
  • Analyze tender and customer requirements and documentation.
  • Evaluate tender documents with the customer solutions department and internal interfaces.
  • Evaluate draft concepts with the customer solutions department.
  • Determine the a-priori visible risk profile for bid decisions.
  • Prepare bid decisions for Bid Board Meetings, including resource allocation and alignment.
  • Prepare and track proposal plans and organize proposal kick-offs with the core team.
  • Act as Project Lead during the proposal process, ensuring quality and timely approvals.
  • Create bid documents, including calculations, within the proposal phase budget and timeline, in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Involve required experts from Business Lines and Pre-Sales Managers for holistic solutions.
  • Track the proposal, commercial budget, and timeline of the proposal phase.
  • Lead and manage all deal calculations as the financial calculation lead.
  • Implement deal-specific price models reflecting customer demands and sales' price strategy.
  • Perform solution-to-cost analysis using market benchmark data.
  • Collaborate with various teams on deal shaping for large opportunities.
  • Support Strategic Procurement in final contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Prepare Approval Slides (financials, cash-flow, risk) for Management Board and Shareholder meetings.
  • Support presentation of approval slides to the Management Board.
  • Ensure signatories are according to the Signature Guideline.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Bid Management.
  • Experience in Public tender in UK is highly required.
  • Experience with international teams is a serious plus.
  • Experience with the security industry.

  • Understand technical information to facilitate brainstorming and reviews.
  • Balance the needs of the potential customer and business setup of the proposal with available in-house resources.
  • Schedule tasks with different contributors with respect to the proposal project plan.
  • Manage a diverse team of personnel from different departments and locations.
  • Continuously train team members who have never participated in proposal development.
  • Work in a team and cluster.
