About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Hospitality & Events to manage global Formula 1 hospitality for Fortune 500 clients, supporting event strategy, planning, and execution. This role involves close collaboration with clients, partners, and internal teams to develop corporate hospitality experiences on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on event strategies and project plans.
- Manage all aspects of event planning, including logistics, guest experience, venue research, and contracting.
- Manage on-site vendors and oversee contractors.
- Develop run of show, programming, and event schedules.
- Prepare and manage line-item budgets, including event branding, collateral, and on-site materials.
- Enforce company and client policies during execution.
- Create client-ready event itineraries, staffing plans, and event recaps.
- Serve as the primary liaison with race team partners sponsored by the client.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and lead status calls.
- Oversee client servicing standards and excellence.
- Develop and author communication deliverables such as event overviews, post-event recaps, case studies, and recommendations.
- Take ownership of client projects from start to finish, communicating status updates.
- Develop, manage, and reconcile project budgets.
- Support directors with resource and workload management across the team.
- Adhere to excellent time management practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of timesheets for self and direct reports.
- Act as the key point of contact for finance-related activities on accounts.
- Support new business functions by participating in proposals and pitch processes.
- Identify and build opportunities from current clients.
- Prepare proposals and costings for projects with director support.
- Support the agency marketing plan through social media contributions.
- Contribute to agency thought leadership and external social promotion.
- Lead key culture initiatives and demonstrate company culture and values to the junior team.
- Take interest in the wider industry to understand sponsorship integration.
- Support junior team members in developing their industry understanding and knowledge of latest news.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the event industry with a good understanding of the wider events landscape.
- Formula 1 experience is essential.
- Understanding of sport and working within sport/sponsorship.
- Demonstrable experience in project management and client servicing excellence.
- Experience in corporate hospitality management, including negotiating and managing suppliers (F&B, creative, signage, audio visual, transportation, etc.).
- Strategic and logical thinking ability to provide counsel to clients and suppliers.
- Experience managing and reconciling event budgets and finances; fiscally responsible with success overseeing large budgets and costs in detail.
- Superstar project management skills, including proficiency with MS Office suite.
- Team mentality and ability to contribute to high-performing teams.
- Ability to travel frequently, including weekdays and weekends.
- Comfortable with frequent travel (weekdays and weekends) and flexible with work hours to accommodate differing time zones.
