About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Claims Executive, or Technical Claims Lead to join our Claims team, preferably in Sydney but willing to consider out of state applicants.
Responsibilities
- Lead the management and advocacy of complex claims matters across a corporate client portfolio
- Provide specialist claims advice to clients, brokers and claims colleagues
- Interpret policy wording and claim circumstances to maximise coverage outcomes for clients
- Liaise with clients, insurers and service providers to progress claims and resolve issues efficiently
- Support brokers by providing technical expertise during new business opportunities, renewals and client discussions
- Mentor and coach claims colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting capability development
- Build strong relationships with branch leaders, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters and key stakeholders
- Contribute to claims working groups, insurer performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE desirable
- Considerable experience in the management of Financial Lines claims
- Experienced in the management of Financial Lines Claims or litigation
- Effective communication skills with a focus on technical claims management and advocacy of complex claims, including drafting claims submissions
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate and negotiate difficult disputes
- Developing effective working relationships and good influencing skills to work across the business
- An understanding of insurance products and markets with a particular focus on Financial Lines
