About the Role
Genoa Healthcare is seeking a Float Pharmacy Technician to support mental health pharmacy functions, primarily dispensing prescriptions and performing clerical duties under pharmacist supervision. This role is crucial in serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities by ensuring patients receive the right medications and adhere to treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff.
- Fill prescription orders for verification by a Registered Pharmacist.
- Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies.
- Receive and process wholesaler medication orders.
- Verify medication stock and maintain inventory records in the computer system.
- Assist the Pharmacist with pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.
- Perform various clerical duties related to the department.
- Communicate effectively using strong professional verbal and written skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite at 1623 Flatbush Ave. Brooklyn, NY, Monday through Thursday from 9:00am-5:30pm and Fridays from 9:00am-5:00pm.
- Ability to cover 2020 Coney Island Ave. Brooklyn, NY and 1125 Fulton St. Brooklyn, NY locations for PTO and call-outs.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
