About the Role
The FP&A team's mission is to be a trusted business partner, enabling the business to make the right decisions through timely financial insight to achieve company objectives. This role will lead the planning process, shape strategy, and provide management guidance on key financial decisions. Based in Berlin, you will work closely with Marketing, Finance, and Analytics teams to drive effective decision-making, providing leadership with clear, concise recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Structure ambiguous problems by breaking them into testable parts, forming hypotheses, and using data to validate recommendations.
- Own daily revenue and contribution margin forecasts, identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Own analysis end-to-end, defining, building, and maintaining financial and operational reporting for marketing channels.
- Dive deep into data to identify drivers behind material variances.
- Build investment business cases by sizing opportunities, defining trade-off criteria, and quantifying returns.
- Contribute to strategy by preparing analysis for trading reviews, QBRs, and planning cycles.
- Take ownership of specific strategic questions across the marketing portfolio.
- Simplify complex analysis into concise, written recommendations for non-finance readers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience and associated qualifications within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- AI first mindset, a key driver in delivering on change and leveraging tools to accelerate performance.
- Analytically minded, using data coupled with sound business judgment to influence business decisions.
- Database querying skills (e.g. SQL).
- Experience using BI tools (e.g. Tableau).
- Basic understanding of data warehouse architecture.
- Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex analyses into recommendations to leadership.
- Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity offering a strategic perspective.
- High energy and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment with the ability to take the initiative and drive work.
- Excellent Systems, Google Suite, MS Office & Financial Modelling skills.
- Experience with an ERP or CPM system such as OneStream is advantageous.
