About the Role
The Fincrime Collective aims to protect customers from fraud and financial crime. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to develop and implement world-class tech-led toolings, leveraging automation, GenAI, and process redesign to empower investigators and support Monzo's scalable growth. The role focuses on driving efficiency, maintaining decision quality, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Optimizing Fincrime Investigation Workflows to reduce handling time while maintaining or improving decision accuracy.
- Scaling Automation & AI-first Solutions to achieve 100% automation where human intervention is only required for complex cases or customer experience needs.
- Enhancing Tooling for COps (Customer Operations) to reduce manual efforts, increase efficiency, and streamline investigations.
- Improving Demand Forecasting & Workforce Planning to optimize capacity planning and scheduling, driving cost savings and improving customer experience.
- Driving Cultural & Process Improvements to enhance investigator incentives, skills leveling, and training for a more efficient team.
- Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements without compromising quality of decision & customer experience.
- Leading a cross-functional squad across risk, engineering, data, machine learning, and operations to develop and deliver the strategic product roadmap.
- Building new toolings and/or improvements to existing toolings to help COps improve their efficiency.
- Collaborating closely with the Ops Collective to deliver improvements to forecasting & planning.
- Acting as the central point of execution for the strategy/vision to move towards building AI-first solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product management, ideally within fintech or scale-up companies, working in complex, ambiguous problem spaces with rapidly changing technology.
- Strong understanding of automation, AI-driven tooling, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, especially operational teams, to deliver impactful solutions.
- Ability to make decisions balancing difficult trade-offs, such as speed vs. accuracy, while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
- A data-driven mindset with experience using insights to drive product decisions and measure success.
- Comfortable working on data-led, complex technical products with ML engineers.
