About the Role

Adaptive is a financial consulting firm that partners with capital, commodity, and digital market participants, valuing differentiation through technology. Our experienced teams design and deliver complex front-office technology solutions using proven accelerators to create long-term competitive advantage for clients including leading investment banks, investment managers, fintechs, and capital market service providers. We are seeking a Java developer to join our London team for an exciting new project.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver complex front-office technology solutions.
Work in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and helping others.
Develop Front Office financial systems, E-Trading and FIX.
Deliver OMS/EMS/Exchange systems.
Engage in pair programming tasks during the interview process.

Requirements

Significant, professional server-side software development experience.
Solid experience programming using Core Java.
General familiarity with data structures such as sets, hashes, caches etc.
Experience developing Front Office financial systems, E-Trading and FIX.
Experience in delivering OMS/EMS/Exchange systems.
Exposure to equities trading & brokerage.
General knowledge of data injection/inversion of control.
Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban).
Extensive experience with Matching Engine.
Employment is subject to an acceptable background check.
