About the Role

Transform your passion into profession and dive into the world of video game localization with us. We are currently seeking Freelance Translators and Proofreaders to expand our database for various projects. The tasks will be done through a memoQ server, Phrase, or Smartling.

Responsibilities

• Translating and proofreading a variety of gaming content, from in-game text to marketing materials.
• Helping bring games to life for new audiences from English US into Hungarian.

Requirements

• Excellent skills in target language.
• Excellent skills in source language.
• Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading experience required.
• Experience of translation and proofreading content related to video games.
• Knowledge of CAT tools (in particular memoQ, Phrase, and Smartling).
• Knowledge of Plunet TMS.
• Include your native language in your application.
• Include your translation rate in your application.
• Include your proofreading rate in your application.
• Include your MTPE rate in your application.
• Include your hourly rate (for transcreation, familiarization, test reviews, CSA, and LQA) in your application.
• Include the games you translated (including a Moby Games profile or crediting info) in your application.
• Include the games in which you are an avid gamer in your application.
• Include a cover letter in your application.
• Include a recommendation letter about your games translation experience in your application.
• May be asked to verify identity by providing a photo of yourself holding your ID or passport.
