About the Role

Robert Bird Group is seeking a friendly, organised and proactive Junior Receptionist & Catering Assistant to join our London office. This role combines front-of-house reception duties with catering and workplace support to ensure a professional experience for visitors, clients and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist visitors, clients and employees in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct telephone calls, take messages and respond to enquiries
  • Manage general email correspondence and provide administrative support
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare rooms for meetings and events
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries and couriers
  • Maintain a tidy, welcoming and professional reception area
  • Assist with the preparation and serving of refreshments for meetings and events
  • Set up and clear down meeting rooms, catering areas and office events
  • Ensure kitchen, catering and breakout spaces remain clean, organised and fully stocked
  • Monitor and replenish refreshments, catering supplies and office consumables
  • Support the delivery of internal events and office functions
  • Comply with food hygiene, health and safety, and workplace standards

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Professional, approachable and positive attitude
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proactive and reliable team player
  • Previous experience in reception, hospitality, catering, customer service or office administration is desirable
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is advantageous
