About the Role
Robert Bird Group is seeking a friendly, organised and proactive Junior Receptionist & Catering Assistant to join our London office. This role combines front-of-house reception duties with catering and workplace support to ensure a professional experience for visitors, clients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist visitors, clients and employees in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct telephone calls, take messages and respond to enquiries
- Manage general email correspondence and provide administrative support
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare rooms for meetings and events
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries and couriers
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming and professional reception area
- Assist with the preparation and serving of refreshments for meetings and events
- Set up and clear down meeting rooms, catering areas and office events
- Ensure kitchen, catering and breakout spaces remain clean, organised and fully stocked
- Monitor and replenish refreshments, catering supplies and office consumables
- Support the delivery of internal events and office functions
- Comply with food hygiene, health and safety, and workplace standards
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional, approachable and positive attitude
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Proactive and reliable team player
- Previous experience in reception, hospitality, catering, customer service or office administration is desirable
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices is advantageous
