About the Role

This role will lead the Settlements team to deliver a top-class Settlements and Custody service to our clients. We are looking for someone to lead the team, building and maintaining a supportive, driven, and continuous improvement focused culture. This will require proactively managing our SLAs through a data driven approach and looking for ways we can improve the service we offer to clients including problem solving, using good judgement, and collaborating with leaders across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Settlements team to create and drive a culture of collaboration, high performance, and engagement
  • Manage the Settlements team including setting and monitoring team members KPI’s and performance to KPI’s through regular 1-1’s and team meetings
  • Responsible for ensuring that there are the right skills across the team with a focus on upskilling and professional development, identifying any staff training needs and determining how to fill any gaps
  • Ensure the Settlements team is allocated appropriate client funds and that there is a regular rotation of funds amongst the team to support ongoing cross-training
  • Identify and implement process efficiency initiatives for Settlements and continuously look for ways to improve the service we offer to clients
  • Provide input into product roadmaps, ensuring key requirements for Settlements get the right focus and development, supporting testing of new developments as required
  • Monitor and ensure that all client investment trades are entered into the appropriate systems and actioned in accordance with the client service delivery requirements
  • Monitor and ensure that all client corporate actions are processed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure that the Settlements processes and procedures in Promapp are always current
  • Ensure any Reconciliation breaks are investigated and cleared in a timely manner
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as reasonably required by the business

Requirements

  • Several years’ experience within Settlements or a related Financial Operations role
  • Naturally inquisitive mind and use of initiative with a focus on continuous improvement with a proven experience driving new initiatives and project management
  • Ability to create an open and inclusive team culture and drive high-performance
  • Self-starter, supportive and collaborative with a team-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and influence at a senior level
  • Displays good judgement and decision-making skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems, with strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Sound knowledge of the fund administration industry and Australia market
