About the Role
Takeda Japan Innovation Center (TJIC) is seeking a UX/UI Design Lead to drive UI/UX design for services and products targeting healthcare professionals and employees. This role involves leading the entire design process from research and requirements gathering to UI design, prototyping, and bridging to implementation, with a focus on delivering high-quality design outputs in rapid cycles. You will leverage AI tools and agents to enhance output quality and speed.
Responsibilities
- Lead UI/UX design for services and products for healthcare professionals and employees.
- Manage the design process from strategy and planning to research, requirements definition, UI design, prototyping, and implementation handover.
- Deliver high-quality design deliverables in rapid cycles.
- Utilize AI tools and agents to increase the speed and volume of output.
- Organize complex customer and business challenges and guide stakeholders toward optimal experience design.
- Participate in CX strategy, omnichannel strategy, and product strategy discussions.
- Translate business requirements into concrete UI/UX designs and oversee implementation in collaboration with development teams and stakeholders.
- Design experiences for the entire healthcare professional journey, including online and offline integration.
- Plan, conduct, and analyze user research and usability testing.
- Perform UX/UI design and prototyping based on quantitative and qualitative data.
- Manage design systems and improve UX for new and existing services.
- Review and support other designers to improve quality.
- Share and disseminate knowledge of the latest UX/UI methods and AI utilization within the company.
Requirements
- Submit a portfolio upon application.
- Over 8 years of professional experience in product design and UX design for web and applications, or equivalent expertise and achievements.
- Experience contributing design expertise to strategy and concept development for customer experiences, services, and products.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders in cross-departmental or global projects to translate strategies and business requirements into concrete experience designs and design requirements.
- Experience proposing to senior leadership, building consensus, and supporting decision-making.
- Experience leading design initiatives across multiple departments or projects from planning through execution and improvement.
- Experience planning, conducting, and analyzing user research and usability tests.
- Experience building and managing design systems or guidelines considering brand and accessibility.
- Practical experience in UI design and prototyping using design tools like Figma.
- Experience and knowledge of collaborating with product teams in agile development environments.
