About the Role

Responsibilities
- Support feasibility studies and procurement reports.
- Prepare cost estimates and cost plans, including the presentation of final cost plans.
- Manage tendering and procurement activities, including pre-qualification processes, tender analysis, and reporting.
- Manage post-contract cost variations and change control processes.
- Conduct cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout all project stages.
- Lead cost management teams, promoting accountability and high-quality service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support business growth.
- Assist in the preparation of bid documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost management procedures, templates, and service offerings.
- Ensure key project information and lessons learned are captured within internal knowledge management systems.
- Monitor financial performance using FMS.
- Identify and escalate opportunities for process improvement.
- Review commission management quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying
- Chartered with the RICS, or equivalent
- Strong measurement and cost planning expertise (NRM2)
- JCT / NEC / FIDIC experience
- Commercially astute with good negotiation skills
- Excellent people person and great communicator, both internal and external
